The door starts to close but goes back up
- Clean the safety sensors.
- Check that both sensors point straight at each other (LED must stay solid).
- Remove any object under the door.
Test again. If it still reverses, book a service.
Remote control does nothing
- Open the remote and replace the battery.
- Stand within 5 meters of the door and press the button.
- Re-program the remote: press the LEARN button on the motor, then press the remote button once.
- If you have more than one remote, test the spare.
No spare works? The receiver board may need replacement.
Door makes loud grinding or clicking noise
- Spray silicone lubricant on all rollers and hinges.
- Tighten every bolt on the tracks.
- Look for broken rollers.
- If the chain or belt sags more than 1 cm, tension it using the adjustment nut.
Noise still loud? The motor gear is probably worn. Schedule a free inspection.
Motion sensor does not see me
- Wipe the sensor glass.
- Move plants, signs or cars away from the sensor line.
- Wave your hand 20 cm in front of each sensor. LED must flash.
No flash? The sensor unit is probably faulty. Call us and we will have a look.
No power lights on the motor unit
- Plug a phone charger into the same socket to confirm power.
- Check the small fuse inside the motor cover.
- Reset the home breaker for the motor.
Still dark? Call us and we will check it out.
Door moves slowly or stops halfway
- Lubricate the full length of both tracks.
- Clean sand or pebbles from the bottom rail.
- Hold the door halfway. It must stay without dropping or rising.
If it moves, the springs need adjustment. Only a trained technician may touch springs.
How often should I service my door?
- Wipe sensors: every month
- Lubricate rollers: every 3 months
- Full professional service: every 4-6 months
Door will not close or open fully
- Press and hold the wall button – does it close/open all the way? If yes, reset the limits.
- Disengage the door from motor and manually move it. If it’s smooth, and operates manually easily, then motor may be faulty. Otherwise, it requires servicing.
Call us - as it will need a professional.
The door opens and closes by itself
- Be sure that all transmitter push buttons are off.
- Remove the wires of the wall switch, and operate with the remotes. If it is fine, then the wiring of the wall switch or the wall switch itself is defective.
- Clear memory and re-program all wireless wall controls and transmitters.
Call us if the issue persists.
The opener motor hums briefly, then will not work
- Check that the door is not in manual release mode.
- The garage door springs may be broken.
- If the problem occurs on the first operation of the opener, door may be locked.
It may require motor replacement and door servicing. Call us for a professional service.
